Getting started

Welcome to Synerise

Powerful, comprehensive omnichannel & marketing tool. Instead of using several apps for measuring page views, transactions (both offline & online!), sending SMS, e-mail, push or beacon campaigns, Synerise helps you analyse the action your clients take in your apps and offline shops and let you automate the entire customer experience. This guidebook will lead you through the entire integration process step by step from tracking clients activities through sending transaction data to integrating with 3rd party apps.


When getting started, decide how many data ends do you have, which of them provide information crucial for your business. You don’t need to gather all data, focus on what’s important for you what will be useful to create an omnichanel experience for your customers.

Building analytics is a repeating process so start simple and see how Synerise can help you to achieve better effects.



Main principles:

  • Synerise uses REST API
  • Tracker and features responsible for clients tracking work asynchronic
  • SDK proxy (e.x SDK PHP, SDK JS) demands sending the events type which are: event.track, product.add, product.remove, transaction.charge, transaction.cancel,, product.addToFavorite, client.logIn, client.logOut
  • SDK proxy (e.x SDK PHP, SDK JS) uses APIkey to identify business profile
  • Tracking codes uses Tracker to identify business profile and domain
  • Data with $ are of special handling which means they appear on the interface or are processed in a different way



The Interface:

Some of Synerise’s features will need access to the business profile settings. Before making changes please assure that you can log in to Synerise.

The Settings section can be found in the menu which appears after mouse over the logo in the left bottom corner . Here you will find access to all core settings listed in the column on the left.


Settings are diveded into categories:

Let’s go briefly through them.

  1. Business Profile
    Here you will find your business profile data and user management. If you add new users to Synerise, an invitation with registration link will be sent. After registering users will be able to log into Synerise and they will see your profile.
  2. Tools
    1. Integration
      In Integrations you will find 3rd party apps settings and in Reports a list with client import/export status’.
    2.  API
      Create and manage API keys.
    3. SDK
    4. Reports
      It’s a list of client import/export task with status and progress.
    5. Tracking Codes
      Here you can create tracking codes for your websites.
  3. Templates
    Templates are used in Synerise in features like marketing or newsletter configuration and more. They can be assigned to automation journeys, marketing campaigns or system events like password reset.

    1. SMS Templates
      After creating a template it can be used in Automation module.
    2. Push Templates
      Can be used in Automation module.
    3. Beacon hint tempates
      Can be used in Automation module.
    4. Dynamic content templates
      Here you will find default dynamic content templates which you can copy and use as a base to build your own template. Created here can be used in Campaigns module.
    5. Campaign email templates
      Synerise has a friendly visual drag and drop email builder. Created email templates will appear in Email Campaigns where can be used and edited.
    6. Landing page templates
      You can use Synerise to buil simple but beautiful landing pages which you can publish on your website.
  4. Configuration
    This section lets you configurate features like Locations, Beacons or set up newsletter configuration and assign email templates to events.

    1. Location
      Add your business locations to bind them to beacons, promotions or display in mobile apps.
    2. Scoring
      Create scoring rules to grant client’s points for desired behaviour. You can add as many rules as you want, just remember that scoring won’t analyse archived data.
    3. Segments
      You can add or delet segments from this list. Segments analyse client data in real-time so once created will update if client fullfills or not the conditions.
    4. Client attributes
      Manage client custom attributes. They will appear in the client’s profile and you will be able to segment clients with the desired client attributes value. This attributes can be added manually but also are generated through other data ends like transactions or tracking.
    5. Client tags
      This is the list of all client tags. They can be created manully or autmatically for example as an automation output.
    6. Newsletter
      This section let’s you configurate the newsletter settings. You should do that if you want to use Synerise to send and manage newsletters, without setting up this configuration Synerise won’t send emails.
    7. Beacons
      If using beacons from a different provider than or if you want to add beacons manually use this section. To add a beacon you will need to choose its name and provide uuid, major and minor. From this place you also bind a beacon to a location.
    8. Emails
      Set up the email account Synerise will use to send email campaigns. You can use your own email server of default Synerise. Remeber after adding an account to confirm it by clicking in the activation link sent in the mail and setting it default on the list. Without setting default or activating Synerise won’t send emails.
    9. Assign templates
      Synerise can sand emails when somebody want’s to reset password to his or hers shop sccount or if you use coupons and want to send them by mail. To do that you need to assaign templates to actions.
    10. Mobile
      When using Synerise SDK to build mobile apps you will be able to manage the apps main screen without need of IT support. In this section you can build and edit the app’s main screen.
  5. Task
    1. Projects
      Create, edit or delet project in Task.
    2. Access control list
      From this place you can manage access to projects created in Task.
  6. Products
    If you integrated Synerise with your Product list here will you find product list and categories.

    1. Categories
      List of categories in tree structure. You can manage the categories but be aware that it will be updated with the product XML data.
    2. Products
      Product list showing product imported from Synerise from the XML.
