Dynamic email attachments

At Synerise, we value the importance of personalization. That's why we do our best to provide solutions that facilitate easy personalization at different levels of interaction with customers. Today, we are delighted to introduce one such solution, which is a new feature: Dynamic Attachments. Now, in addition to sending emails, you can also include dedicated attachments for your customers.

What is the application of this feature?

We have enhanced our former solution with static attachments added to emails with the ability to add dynamic attachments dedicated to individual customers.

Such a feature is extremely useful in industries that work with sensitive customer data on a daily basis, which must be properly processed and delivered to customers. Let's take a look at some examples of real business cases.

  • Financial services: Banks and financial institutions can send their customers personalized financial reports, investment insights or tax-related documents tailored to their individual financial situation.
  • Healthcare: Healthcare providers can send patients personalized health advice, appointment reminders and medical reports based on their medical history and health status.
  • Insurance: Along with an email, an insurance provider can send a dynamic attachment containing a customized summary of policy changes specific to a customer's coverage, premiums and deductibles.

What are dynamic attachments and how do they work?

Dynamic attachments is a feature that lets you send tailored attachments through emails to each customer. Let’s see how it works!

Step 1. Integration

To start using Dynamic Attachments, you need to integrate your document generation system for clients with Synerise. To do this, transfer the prepared file along with the client ID to Synerise through the Synerise API.

Once your files are uploaded successfully, an attachment.upload event is created for each customer in Synerise. This event holds the information about the attached file in the context of a specific customer.

You have two options for sending attachments:

  • Send multiple requests, each with a single file attached.
  • Send one request with up to 5 files attached. In this case, only one event is generated.

Step 2. Workflow creation

To attach a dynamic file to an email, you'll need to use the attachment.upload event in a workflow. For example, you can use it in the Profile Event trigger. You must give this node a unique name.

Now, in the Send email node, you'll see a new option called Dynamic Attachments. From the dropdown list, you can select the node you previously named, which contains the attachment.upload event. This allows you to use the right attachment for each customer.

As simple as that! You are ready to send an email with tailored attachments to your customers.
