First-time visitor handling in Dynamic Content communication

First-time visitor handling in Dynamic Content communication

We’re excited to introduce a new enhancement to our Dynamic Content campaigns—the ability to define how the campaign treats first-time visitors, i.e., users who have not yet created a profile and for whom audience conditions cannot be determined.

A new optional checkbox allows you to decide whether first-time visitors should be treated as part of the audience or excluded.

This update ensures more accurate campaign delivery and reporting, which is crucial, for example, in loyalty scenarios to provide a personalized experience on your website.

How this feature works

Sometimes, when launching a campaign for a specific audience, we face the challenge that first-time visitors may not have their profile created in Synerise for a few seconds. As a result, we are unable to determine whether these users meet the audience conditions. In such cases, we want the option to decide whether to treat these users as part of the audience or not.

  • Thanks to this configuration, first-time visitors can receive a discount coupon, see promotional offers, or get recommendations for trending products.
  • You can analyze the performance of this audience separately from existing profiles using an additional parameter in events related to dynamic content.
  • The default behavior for these users is fully customizable within the audience settings of your campaign.

Key benefits

  • Customizable campaign logic: Decide whether non-existing profiles are included or excluded from campaign audiences.
  • Improved reporting accuracy: Understand campaign engagement and under which circumstances the content was displayed.
  • Seamless onboarding for new visitors: Ensure first-time visitors still experience tailored content, even without existing profiles.
